Tuesday 25th Dec
It was Christmas Day! Unfortunately for us, we didn't feel as it was a christmas day for us as it was our first time away from home, no turkey to be seen anywhere and of course presents to look forward to unwrap!! However we knew that we were in for a treat as we decided to have a big bbq for ourselves on the beach! We setted off preparing some stuff in the kitchen before carrying everything to the beach!
We were bit dissapointed with the weather as it was very cloudy, no clear blue sky but however we did remind ourselves that it was better than what the UK weather was, dull and cold!! We started laying stuff out onto the picnic rug and preparing for the bbq! It did take a while to get it going as it was quite windy, which kept blowing the flames off! While we were waiting for our burgers and sausages to be cooked, we drank our beer up which wasn't too bad! We would prefer to drink Corona but unfortunately it was out of our budget! Eventually our meats were ready to be eaten, despite looking black and burnt! We were full up from eating the bread rolls, they were very big! Eventually, Lisa was bored from just sitting on the rug so she decided to go off and write on the beach with the message saying "Merry Christmas!"
While we were having a picnic, there weren't many people about which was quite good for us so it was feeling like as it was our private beach!
For people who wanted to know what we had to eat for our christmas dinner, they were as following:
Burgers
Sausages
Sweetcorn Cobs
Coleslaw
Potatoes
Crisps
Salad
Obviously if you look at the photo in our album, you can see easily what we had for our dinner! ;)
Eventually we decided to pack up as we wanted to have a quick shower before going on the internet for our webcam reunion with our families
At 8pm (Aus Time), we met up with Lisa's family online which was 9am (Uk Time), chatted for a while before going off to grab a cuppa as the kitchen closes at 10pm! We are still drinking plenty of tea!
Then we returned back online again at 10pm to meet up with Daniel's family this time and of course chatted! At the same time when Daniel's family had to go for their christmas lunch, we continued using the webcam chat with Lisa's brother as well as other family members.
It was good to see everyone again and we were amazed to see Daniel's family cat, Oscar growing so big as last time we saw him, he was just a tiny kitten!
