Hi guys, another day of wetness and mud - boohoo. I've only just realised I can get emails on this site so sorry that I haven't replied up until now. If you have any 'secrets' this is the place to share them with me!! We have been tidying and cleaning like crazy today as we have some V.I.P's coming tomorrow. I was working with oompoom the bear today and 3 other bears. I had to scream at the top of my lungs to get them to move so that we could clean out their enclosure, much to the amusement of the thai workers Went round and took some pictures yesterday so I will upload tham on wednesday as i have another day off then. They are quite bad, but hey, you can't be good at everything! I hope the rain goes off as there is not much you can do when it rains. I have been covered in mud and soaked through all day. We are going into Hua Hin tomorrow night which i'm excited about. I think we will have some 'western' food or anything that doesn't involve rice. We are then going to meet up with some of the volunteers who have already left for some drinks. The other night we went to a new karaoke place in the village which was mad. It was basically this big shed with sofas in it and a large tv screen (i think it was the families front room). Much rum was consumed and we had lots of fun. Think the husband wasn't best pleased because he had to stay in the kitchen and kept having to go out and get more supplies of rum and coke. Every time we go out at night it is pretty scary as we have to walk for ages in the pitch black as we usually forget the torch. It's like the blair witch project!! Don't worry mum, we go as a group so I won't be kidnapped!! Went past the temple today and saw the monks getting down to some serious gardening. There's something quite surreal about a monk in full dress mowing the lawn!! I wonder if they compost - maybe that could be a new composting story for the magazine!! Although I think it might get past the big black P.C barrier! Anyways, enough compost chat take care one and all, P.S Sarah I think you must have been too young and innocent when you went to hua hin as a child! P.P.S Miss boyd, want to know all about the boy!
