Hi all, Thought I would make the effort to walk half an hour to the nearest village to use the computer. Get a bit self conscious (spelling) down here as all the locals stare aand shout 'farrang' and laugh. Farrang means foreigner in thai. Its pretty wet still so i not only stink of monkey poo and deet insect repellant, i am also soaked through constantly and have over 20 mozzy bites - i hate them sooooooo much@!!! Having a july the 4th celebration tonight as there are lots of americans here. There's watermelon soaked in vodka in the fridge so it should hopefully be a good evening. I've only had a few beers since i got here - i really couldn't face a hang over in this place as there are so many things that would make you feel puky. Today i fed some of the animals in the rescue centre and made a slide for the otters to play on which was fun. I hope to go and help wash the elephants in the lake in the next few days, weather permitting. Oh, and guess what! I have been composting every day I have been here. They compost all the fruit waste, leaves and animal poo. I was going to take a picture of it but I thought that was taking it too far!! Bug update - the bugs are massive. There are two blue coloured hornet beasts who live inside our dinner table. I'm kind of used to them now because they just want to get into there house. I've got pictures of the massive lizard that lives in my room - I will try and upload some photies on saturday as it is my day off. This other girl and i are going to ch-am for the day so should be good. Went to Hua Hin the other night which an hours drive from here. i wasn't impressed, it was full of middle aged men and prostitutes - not the sort of people I generally like to hang out with! the taxi drivers (or truck drivers) love ther crazy dance music. I have heard thai dance remixes of every terrible tune you could imagine - my personal favourite - I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world (magic)! Well that's it for now kids.
