Arrived at the Grand Canyon today - we drove here via the Hoover Dam - which was interesting but a bit too touristy for us. Spent the day at the Grand Canyon today - we drove along the vista points and looked at the Canyon in all its glory. Its huge, and very wide and very deep - quite a lot to take in really. From some of the points you can see the Colorado river snaking its way along the bottom. We got some food and then went back to one of the vista points to watch the sun set. We climbed over the barrier and sat on some rocks on the edge of the canyon - no one else was there apart from us. It was brilliant. The sun changes the colours of the the canyon each time you look at it and when the wind stops blowing you cannot hear a single thing....apart from Jim - jabbering away....(I know its hard to believe!!!)
