Day three on the Trek America Tour. We left Seattle on Monday and spent the first night at Kamloops. Camping for the first time was interesting. We had to pitch our own tents and we have a roster for cooking and washing up and stuff. There are 12 people on the Trek including us and the Tour Guide (Matt). Kim, Darren and Hannah from Australia, Eva from Switzerland, Stefan from Germany and then Stu from Teeside, Peter from York, George from Derbyshire and Ann from Ireland. The first night was the coldest ever, we had to go out the next day and buy a fleece blanket for inside the sleeping bags, since then it hasn't been as cold, but cold enough to make sure only your nose pokes out of the sleeping bag at night. We are now in Yoho National Park, went on a couple of walks today, the first around Emerald Lake which was beautiful and the other to Wapta Falls. So we are pretty tired and very hungry (looking forward to tea). We are driving off to Banff tomorrow for 4 nights and some more walking....
