Jim and Sim's World Adventure
We have spent the last couple of days in Seattle. Went up to the top of the Space Needle on the first night to watch the sun set with a Starbucks....the sky was amazing to see...
Did some washing (yes its not all glitz and glamour, we have to do normal things as well) and stocked up on some clothes for our travels.
We have spent some time exploring the city, and walked up to the top of Queen Ann hill - the biggest, steepest hill in the history of the Earth - to get to a park (Kerry Park) which over looked the city. The view was amazing, but the weather was pretty rubbish until we got back to the bottom again.
Went to the Pike Street Market as well, where they throw fish around at each other, which was quite funny (like in the films that you see).
Had a few beers in an Irish bar this evening and befriended a drunk Irish American called Finton who thought Jim was good looking and that Sim looked like a girl called Peggy Flynn (answers on a postcard), he bought us both a drink and talked absolute rubbish as he was very drunk, (a very nice person). He gave us an English paper to catch up on the news - our first one (Jim turned to the sport straight away - no surprises).
Off to meet our fellow travellers tomorrow for our Canadian Trip...
