Day eight of the Trek America Tour. Left Banff this morning to head for Jasper National Park. On the way we stopped off at Peyto Lake. It was snowed in so had to hike for half an hour through two foot of snow to get to the lake. It was really worth it. The sun was shining and the lake was frozen. Some girls took group photos for us - don't think they realised that they had about 10 cameras to take them on when they volunteered. We then drove to the Athabasca Glacier on the Columbia Icefield Parkway. Jim hiked all of the way up to the Glacier - what a sight. Arrived at camp and pitched our tents ( we are becoming pro's at this now). Some of the group had a game of poker - good fun.
