We were up at 5.30 and ready for our flight brief at 6am. Headed off on our treck to Mitchel Falls ,3.5klm ,it wasnt a bad walk not as bad as Emma Gorge, we stopped at regular intervals ,took photoes and refreshed ourselves John found a rock that just looked like a gorilla head. We reached the top of the falls and found a spot where we could see the bottom in case a friendly freshy wandered by, it was very refreshing we stayed there for about 1hr. Decided to go on a little further found what we thought was another nice spot with a little waterfall , got in with John under the waterfall next thing I know I have little rigglies all over me they were like a little leach so got out of there quick smart. There was a Mitchel Water Moniter sunning itself on the rocks beside the waterfall Kaden went right up to it and it didnt move. Walked to the lookout for the Mitchel Falls and took some photoes it must be spectacular in the wet season because they were lovely even now. We told the kids that we had to rest for the walk back next minute the helicopter arrived and Joy said I wonder if the pilet would let us have a ride you should have seen their faces so we all piled in with John and Myself on the outside seats with no doors. The pilet took us on a scenic tour of th plateau and Mitchel Falls we saw a crock down in the water, by the time we got back John had to pry my fingers off his leg. Back to camp lunch and a rest we will be heading back to Home Valey Station tomorrow. Saw lots of king fishers and black cockatoos.
