Headed out to the main road and we couldnt see for smoke we saw the flames jump accross the road we were gettiing out of Barn Hill in time. We stopped at Sandfire to fuel up they had some memorabillia old cars , petrol bowsers etc. Arrived at 80 Mile Beach c. v. park . Set up then went for a walk collecting shells saw an amazing sunset.

29 10 2013 I got up at 5.....30 and went fishing even though it was high tide the water was out a fair way, ( no good ) .We went for a drive about 8klm. along the beach looking for shells and found some nice ones. when we got back there was a huge goana right outside our van. Accross from our van was a small war memorial for vietnam and the world wars arround the cross were shells with diggers names on them it had a white picket fence I wrote some names on a shell and placed it under the cross. Went fishing again in the afternoon but no luck again. Had some drinks with friends then took the kids on to the beach with torches to look for turtles coming up to lay their eggs. We saw 2 in the water they had finished then John found one ready to lay its eggs so we watched from a distance then followed her down to the water another exciting day over.
