Up early this morning we were picked up at 6/20 at the caravan park and taken to the airport where we met our pilot Yohan and our fellow travelers Marc and Allison. We boarded our 6 seater Cessna 2-10 it felt very cramped but once we were in the air it was ok. The land we flew over is mostly aboriginal and there were lots of fires. We flew over the stunning thousand islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago I took lots of photoes but they dont do it justice , the water was beautiful blue we also flew over the Horrizontal Falls it was breathtaking .We went accross to Cape Leveque where we landed on a dirt air strip {it was a good landing } ,where we were served a lovely hot breakfast, Joy Luke Ella and Kaden came up and sat with us,.After breakfast we went for a swim with the kids and got to see where Joy was staying right on the beach. We took off again and landed on anothed dirt airstrip at Cygnet Bay where a fast boat was waiting for us we went out to the thousand islands Archipelago to see the giant tides as they squeeze througe the ancient Kimberly rock islands which are 800 billion years old creating huge standing waves and whirlpools and our driver aimed for each one. when the tide comes in it is 116 times more than Sydney harbour and it happens every 6 houes. On the way out a dolphin swam with us and we saw 2 turtles mating. Back to Cygnet Bay where there was a lovely lunch waiting for us . After lunch we were given a talk on the fascinating history of Australias oldest pearl farm and its pioneering family. Back on board for our flight back to Broom said goodby to our new friends what a magical day.
