We went for a 1hr. boat ride into Geikie Gorge saw four crocks they are in their breading season so its rare to see them ,there are app. 280 in the river. We watched a sea eagle trying to catch a bat for his dinner they are realy quick. The rock formation was spectacular the white mark on the rock is where the water comes to in the wet season and the erosion from the sand being swept down the river was realy honeycombed it was amazing. There were mud nests the larks build under the rocks, it was an interesting 1hr. We are now tackeling the dirt road up to tunnel creek, it wasnt too bad.Tunnel Creek was great you had to take a torch with you, when we first went in we were wadeing in water up to the top of our legs then a bit further on we saw a crock in the water it was quite dark , there were stalecktights and staleckmights and there were also bats. Headed on to Windjana Gorge national park for the night.
