Hello from San Francisco!! We arrived in late last night so just made our way to the hotel and crashed, promising to get up early to explore the city. Yosemite is the most beautiful place on Earth! While we were back to freezing cold weather (it didn't actually snow while we were in Yosemite but as you can see from the photo's there was still snow from the last fwe days around!), the place is gorgeous and with all the walking that you do, you soon start to warm up. Currently in Merced, California, about 80 miles west of Yosemite. We have to spend the night here as we missed the last bus to Yosemite today. Anyhow, left Las Vegas without a hitch. Amtrak run buses from Las Vegas to Bakersfield where you can meet the train. There were very few people on a very nice bus. We stopped in Barstow, which is on Route 66, for some lunch.
