Hi again! We have relaxed for 2 days or so and today walked around 6-7km to Wat Leu. It is the highest point for miles with views all about and was amazing. The walk took us through town and out up the hill, with Motos aplenty! When we reached Wat Leu we saw a Buddhist temple (see the amazing photos!!), a local cemetery, a massive temple, plus monkeys galore! The monkeys were climbing bushes and eating flowers, all were tame, though they had very fierce teeth! We also saw some young Buddhing Buddhists (couldn't resist that!) and children flying kites. It was cooler there and the temple grounds gave some great photo opps. as you can see... It was maybe 3-5 degrees cooler up there and as we dropped in to 'Pagoda Rocks' (a small boutique Hotel/Eatery) the rains came! It lashed down as we sat grabbing a Diet Coke... and watching over the infinity pool... while surfing the web on the free wifi ..... Again the temp. dropped another few degrees to around 70-ish very pleasant indeed. We sat there for an hour or more until the rain slowed and then walked back it was great weather - we popped in to the Cabbage Garden for a great set of local foods including Pepper Crab; Prawn Rice, Fried Cabbage and Squid.... nice.... Back now at Coolabah chilling before a drink. Speak later - as we are off to Kampot tomorrow for some French Colonial character and a river town....and a few words from Sheryl....thanks and well done to my family, friends and former colleagues out on strike today and up early for the picket lines ..., defending our pensions!! Sorry I couldn't join you!
