Seville is has a completely different vibe than Barcelona. This city is what I would describe as much more traditional, how ever we are in a different region of Spain and Seville is only a city of 700,000 people. Yesterday we toured the cathedral which is the largest in Europe. Very dramatic ( of course ) and ornate. This is the spot where Christopher Columbus is buried as well as his son. We climbed the Giralda (tower of the church ) to get a tremendous view of the city. The cathedral is built upon a site that was originally a mosque dating from......... a really long time ago. We also went to a small convent and toured their museum and purchased some orange marmalade that the sisters make. We had reservations at a traditional Sevilliano restaurant for dinner at 8:30 pm ( right when they opened ). We were the only guests seated until about 9:15 when some "early bird" locals started to show up. We finished dinner at 11:00pm and the place was full and just getting going. The food was traditional and incredible. I had roasted pork with goat cheese and anise, Trish had oxtail served with potatoe.
