On our second day the polluted weather was still there but much more fresher than the first day....perhaps I have become accustomed to Beijing weather! Went to forbidden city and I couldn't believe it when I went to toilet there and discovered the toilets on floor not toilet seats like England! I even saw a Chinese woman peeing with her legs open, shocking! It is their culture after all haha. The forbidden city was inspiring, beautiful details on the roofs and the deep history it holds. We walked all way through it and our legs felt sore! I sat down having my orange lolly when a random Chinese teenager came up to me' and asked me' for a photo which I accepted gladly however she pointed at my face and grinned like a little excited girl, I didn't appreciate the fact she pointed at my face but felt flattered that she was so excited to meet an foreigner! I only paid 20 yuan with my student identity card, saved 40 yuan! Poor dominic forgot his own and had to pay full price of 60 yuan! Got a subway on the way to my hostel which was quite near. I was determined to eat Chinese food later on for dinner... Went to wangfujing street which was filled with shops and I saw magnificent food stands displaying various food such as dead snake, eel, scorpions and many more! I couldn't believe how Chinese people ate it as if it was natural for them to eat that! It was exciting to see that, we went to a shopping mall style and discovered that there was a load of different restaurants such as Chinese food, take away and um....pizza hut! We all ended up going to pizza hut as it was so cheap compared to England, felt bad that we didn't try Chinese food yet so we ate a octopus which Asher ordered as a starter, he offered us to try a bit of it, I thought it didn't taste of anything, it was a bit hard but slippery. Overall I enjoyed the day.
