(T) After a cooked breakfast and watching Ireland beat Australia in the rugby we sadly left Mandy and Andy and headed into Cambridge for a little look around. As its not the best place to be driving we parked the car at a park and ride and took the bus into town. We walked through the streets and stumbled upon a market where was had some lovely pastries for lunch, not to mention one of the best brownies we have ever had!
We headed into Kings College to soak up some of the history and stare in awe at the incredible architecture that took so long to build, the reign of many monarchs came and went before it was finally finished. We walked through other colleges which were just as impressive, only on a much smaller scale, before heading back to the car for our final drive to return it.
Now i can tell you, driving in and around Heathrow Airport is not my idea of fun, particularly just as the sun has gone and the rain has set in. The sat-nav was useless once inside the airport and the signage for rental returns not great. Trapped in the wrong lane with no hope of moving over we had to go into, and back out of, the multi-level carpark in order to turn around and finally return the car.
A couple of tube trains later we were at our hotel in Paddington and after a delicious pizza dinner Sarah was down for the night, with me following after the Saturday night movie on T.V.
Tomorrow we explore London.............
