(T) This morning we packed our bags and said goodbye to our luxurious hotel, it's fair to say we'll be experiencing a vast range of accommodation on this trip. (ST) What a great start to our part of the holiday together, we slept in... Once we got up we had our first public transport experience and took a bus to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, absolutely beautiful. Besides the beautiful walk, we went into the Orchard garden which is the largest display of tropical orchards in the world. Clearly it was just stunning and the smell was heaven. (S) Today took a step back into my childhood and went on a magical adventure to Universal Studios (located on Sentosa island)! Here I made some new friends; Alex And King Julien from Madagascar, Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop (just to name a few), I went on rides and explored the lands of Far Far Away (Shrek), The Lost World (Jurassic Park), Madagascar, Ancient Egypt (The Mummy), sci-fi City, New York and Hollywood. (S) Up early after the late night and made the most of the buffet breakfast. I left Tim for day 2 of the conference, another tough 5hr day for him..! Having already seen many sights I took today as a 'rest day' consisting of some lunch, gym, steam room, hot pool and capped off in the roof top pool while waiting for Tim to finish. (S)The conference sessions started today, Tim was there from 10-4. I decided to buy a ticket to the hop on - hop off bus. This was a great way to see the Island, there are three different routs; the original, city and heritage. I took the city tour and then the heritage tour.
