After a few good nights in Swakopmund we headed to Dune 45 in the desert, we arrived late afternoon, pitched our tents up at our campsite and went to climb the dune and watch the sunset :-) the climb was fun and the views were pretty awesome :-) the most exciting part of the day was the jacket potato with chilli!! Oh yes after weeks of craving jacket spuds Aly cooked us some!! Nom nom nom!!

The next day we made our way to fish river canyon, again it was late afternoon when we arrived at our camp and the weather was pretty crap!! Tents went up and we could see the storm in the distance! Quickly cooked dinner, showered and had an early night as we were getting up at 5am to watch sunrise over the canyon....really could have done with a good nights sleep...however!!! The weather was shocking!!! So so so so windy!!! We were all awake from about 2am every half hour re-pegging our tents!! Couldn't exactly peg them as we were on gravel so they kept blowing away in the storm!! Then it was 5am and time to get up....it was freezing cold!! We headed to the canyon and froze but the views were pretty cool :-) then it was back to the camp, we had breaky, packed our tents and made the journey into across the border into South Africa...wow those weeks in africa went quick and most of all....I survived yey!!!
