Hello from Uyuni!!

We arrived late on into Uyuni and ordered the worlds highest pizza (as in altitude not the actual pizza hehe) three of us shared one and thank god because they were huge!! By the tine we finished it was late so we headed off to bed...

The next morning we attempted a shower...freezing!! You would be crazy to get in it!! So it was a case of sticking my hat on!

We had a yummy breakfast then headed out on a full day trip to the salt flats which were amazing!! And huge!! They went on forever!! The views were really cool and we spent ages messing about and taking crazy photos! We also ate lunch there before heading further into the middle and then to the salt hotel which was kinda cool! The beds looked a bit hard though!!

In the evening it was time for more pizza :-) I'm going to be huge!! And we all just chilled out as we were up at 6 the next day for our drive to Potosi, the worlds highest city.

We set our alarms and woke up early ready for our journey...we stepped outside and it was snowing :-( ermm really? Apparently they only get snow one day a year and wow it snowed!! We set off but the roads were really bad and the route to Potosi was all steep mountain roads that were too dangerous to drive on in them conditions so after a few snow ball fights and a long attempt at turning the truck around, we headed back to the hotel and re-checked in! Apparently they closed the roads later that day due to snow :-/

So what do you do when your stuck in a small village with not a lot to do...yep we got drunk! We sat and drank our champagne that we won at the estancia in Argentina! And yes it does go to your head quicker at altitude hehe hiccup!!

That evening it was decided that we would miss Potosi out due to the bad weather and make the 12 hour drive to La Paz and get there a day early...

I'm so happy we did...La Paz here we come :-)
