Hi, The picture is quite a good illustration of the sort of weather we have encountered over the last few days! we were full of plans but we seem to have resorted to spending our days staring in to space and looking at the rain (can imagine how you felt in Jamaica now Mum & Dad!) As Nikki said we went on a boat trip on Thursday and got burnt! but it has rained solidly since then. On a brighter note though we met two really nice english people on the boat, Mike and Caroline, and we have been spending the rainy days and nights with them -drinking beer and caiprinhas! Mike is from Crawley and used to work in Horsham which is a bit odd! We have met loads of people here, Brazilian people keep stopping us in the street so they can practice their english. An italian man that was about 60 was very taken with Nikki and has given her his card - i very much doubt she will contact him but Franco the Italian Surgeon sounds an interesting option for a brother in law! (sorry Loz!) Carnimar was on today, we were intending to go on one of the boats but it was bucketing down. We still went down to the port and looked at all the decorated boats and brazilian people getting drunk and sambaring at 10 oclock in the morning! Off now to try and work out what to do with our day!
