So the night train was not the same as the one from Chiang Mai. For starters we were all separate. Chelsea was by the toilet and the smell literally made her retch. The seats were tiny. Saw a cockroach on the floor too which was just fabulous. Managed to sleep for about an hour that night. We then had to get a bus then a ferry! After 20 hours of travelling we were in Koh Phangan.
Staying at ringside hostel, it was pretty crazy. That night they were having a BBQ. Had a twister contest and lots of flip cup. We are getting so good at it. Then headed to the beach front where the bars are.
The following day we were up early. Going on a tour of koh phangan. It was also the kings birthday, this meant no alcohol could be sold or consumed. If you were caught it was pretty serious. We visited a few really nice beaches and played some volley ball. Then headed to the secret beach for lunch. Our favourite part of the day was total wipeout. The course was set up just like the programme. It was amazing. The giant red balls are just as impossible as they look on TV, I just kept flipping off.
Another BBQ that evening and games on the beach. Then off to the jungle rave. There was muay thai boxing aswell.
Today is the full moon party night. Spent the day relaxing by the pool. Everyone mission is to make it to sunrise. Headed back for a nap, but were woken shortly after by the hostel staff blowing whistles in our face and shoving drinks in our face!! Went to grab some food then headed back to party. Again got soaked playing games, they always seem to involve a hose. The atmosphere here is so awesome. Got dressed up in our neon gear and same same but different tops. Had to explain to everyone the jokes. Basically whenever we introduced ourselves in Thailand (Sarah, Sarah, Chelsea) people would go Ahhh same same but different. Apparently it also means lady boys but we chose to ignore that.
The party was so much better than expected. Loads of different bars on the beach playing different music, fire shows etc. We all got painted up with flowers and designs. Looked really good in the UV lights. Saw the giant fire skipping rope and defiantly saw people getting burned so we didn't attempt that. Managed to make it till 07:30am. Such a weird experience the sun coming up and blue sky and people still dancing around on the beach.
That day I we had a few hours sleep then headed out for lunch, our last meal together! I was really sad to be leaving Sarah and Chelsea. It has been the best 7 weeks, couldn't of wished for better people to travel with. We all got on so well which made it perfect :).
Got my ferry to Koh Samui ready for my flight the following morning.
Next stop Australia!!!!
