Koh Samui, the last of our island stops! I spent 8nights here so that I could be with my 2 trav buddies for Xmas & chill nicely for the last part of Asia! It was a lovely island with lots of nice people again. G and I made friends with some Irish lads who we went out on mopeds with to see waterfalls, mountain bar with stunning view & a nice dip in an infinity pool with stunning mountain & sea views, stopping along a beautiful beach for a nice Thai lunch! We booked into a nice hotel which still only cost the 3of us £10 pppn! It had a lovely pool,was right on the beach & had the best room we have stayed in yet, a right treat & nice way to end our trip! We watched a traditional Moi Thai boxing match one evening which was interesting! We also went out over Xmas to some busy bars & clubs which was fun & made more friends! We rented mopeds for a second time after G left & the girls met me, so I led the way to the waterfalls, mountain bar etc to show them. Na muang waterfall was beautiful, I had a dip in the pool at the bottom which was freezing!! To get to it we got taken up by a big 4x4 truck which had a sofa thing attached to the top where we sat & enjoyed a very bumpy ride to the top! Was good fun! Xmas didn't really feel like xmas! We tried to find places doing traditional roasts but was expensive so had a nice steak & Thais version of roast potatoes & gravy!! Skyping the family was so lovely :-) so we then had a couple of pool days but weather was mainly cloudy! I then had to say my goodbyes to Saraya & Sophie which was very weird & sad, mixed emotions on my last day in Asia, sadness & happiness about leaving the country, sadness for leaving my trav buds & going it alone, and excitement for heading to NZ! So, here I go!!! ....
