I started my island hopping with koh phi phi, getting there by ferry from Phuket. It is a beautiful island but is mainly a party island now! It consists of winding walking streets full of shops etc & a couple of beautiful beaches & a viewpoint, we had a great night on our first night in a few bars & on the beach at a party, but unfortunately all got sick on the second night, I felt awful! Everyone we seem to seems to get sick on phi phi, could be food or bug! So I quickly left on the third day & managed to get myself to krabi where Georgina was waiting for me in our accommodation :-) I was over the moon to see her!
Krabi providence is another nice place, we stayed in AoNang, it has a long thin strip of beach surrounded by mountains still, not a stunning beach but still lovely. We stayed for 2nights here, on day2 we did day tour where we went off on a speed boat for the day, unfortunately it was raining & cloudy which spoilt the views a bit but could still see how stunning it all was, visiting bamboo island & monkey island where we walked along the white sands & swam whilst watching monkeys play, snorkelled with beautiful fish round a couple of bays, drove past Viking cave & a stunning lagoon then my favourite, Maya Bay, where The Beach with Leonardo DeCaprio was filmed! It is a stunning bay but so many people & speed boats there it ruins it but still so glad I saw it! We then went to phi phi don for lunch, I watched what I ate!!
On our return we then got a small boat for 5mins round the corner to Railay. This island is beautiful, we stayed on Tonsai beach in lovely bungalows in the mountain where we only had power between 6pm-6am! Very quiet & peaceful & lovely! We stayed 2days & walked round the whole island, trekking through forests to get to Railay East, then walked along the path passed the mangroves & boats along the shore to Phranang beach & cave where monkeys greeted us, one crawled up my arm nibbling me!! Lovely beach again. Then walked round to Railay West which is also beautiful but more touristy. To get back to Tonsai we climbed up hill over rocks! Tide was too high to walk round! We could've swam but had our bags! Lots of rock climbing going on throughout Railay, popular place for that. I really liked Railay it was beautiful & very relaxing.
Now on to Koh Lanta :-)
