Siem reap is a nice place, again with very friendly Cambodian people, they love us & are so welcoming! Our hostel was $4 a night so not the best & very hot indeed in our room but it's cheap!! I've still had this tummy bug so haven't been too well here so we stayed 4nights to give me time to recuperate & feel ok to do Angkor Wat, which we did today! We got up at 430am & had a tuk tuk take us round each temple, the main big ones. We missed a sunrise...

Phnom Penh is a nice city, in places it's hectic, dusty from the roads & smoggy from the mopeds etc but on the whole it's my favourite city so far compared to Ho Chi Minh & Hanoi! We are staying near the riverfront & royal palace which was nice to walk around. We stayed in a nice guesthouse where the manager spoke good English which is so nice to b able to communicate! He sorted our bus tickets to siem reap & our visiting the old prison & kill...

We took a 2 hour ferry over to koh rong island, an up & coming stunning tropical island that will probably look a lot different in years to come by being more built up so I'm glad I got to see it in its natural form now! We were so excited by the crystal clear waters as we pulled up & all the fish we could see! We stayed in a cheap hostel that wasn't the greatest but we weren't in it much anyway! The main strip was ruined by rubbish a bit but was still go...

So we entered Cambodia on Sunday 27 October my minibus through ha tien border, was quite painless & didn't take too long, just paid, got our passports stamped with visa for a month & carried on driving!! Was a nice drive in, lovely scenery, very green. We stayed one night in sihanoukville so as to leave for koh rong island in the morning! We walked down to the beach bars & had a good night out then up for a pick up in the morning!
