We got an UBER to the airport and had a great flight with Virgin America it was just under two hours to San Francisco but we were so excited! A place we have both wanted to visit for so long! We travelled in to the city via the BART train literally dumped our bags and headed straight out to explore! Our hotel was on the edge of chinatown which is one of the largest most established in the USA. We walked down to North beach then fisherman’s wharf! We heard hundreds of sea lions at the end of the pier Apparently there are over a thousand at times since the Loma Prieta earthquake hit San Francisco in October 1989 they call pier 39 home! We loved our first night the city had so much to offer we couldn’t wait to explore more...
