Apart from a very abrupt moody driver, the journey to Mui Ne from HCMC was nice and smooth. Was meant to get dropped off at my hostel, but instead had a 2km walk to get to it from where they dropped us all off. Would have been a really nice walk along the sea front if it wasn't for the 15kg bag on my back. Checked into Mui Ne backpackers village and knew I had made a good choice. So arrived into Vietnam as planned around midday on the 5th. Did my first land crossing, which I've wanted to do for ages, totally different experience to just flying into a country. In terms of land crossings, it was very safe and straight forward. Lots of getting on and off the bus but other than that, it was nice and smooth.
