Not much sleep as we were picked up at 7am and taken to Padang, which is the port in Bali. From there we caught a boat over to the Gili Islands.

Boat journey was only 90mins and so much fun. Sat up on the roof and the guys working on the boat wanted some music, so we got to plug our phones in and play DJ. We all got some weird tan/burn lines from the journey as well. Just crazy how strong the sun is here.

So we arrived at Gili Trawangan, which is on of the tiny Gili island in Indonesia. There are no cars or scooters on the island. So the only way to get round is by foot or push bike. Or you can get a tuk tuk kind of things but it's powered by a horse.

Picked up our bags and went in search of our hotel, Welcome Inn. Some guy asked us where we were staying and a guy with dreads riding past said he was the manger and will take us there. In my head I thought, classic scam. But he insisted and ended up being very offended. Led us to the hotel and of course he was in the end the manger. Ooops! All checked it and we hit the beach.

O my, now the Bali beaches we have been to so far I think have been a bit dirty. The beaches here are beautiful. The clearest blue water I've ever seen. We spent the day on bean bags at the beach, was a pretty good day. The beach is lined with cool themed bars and restaurants, we picked a cute one for dinner and then went back to the hotel to get ready to go out. However, so tired from the crazy last few days we ended up falling asleep. Oops, we'll try again tomorrow.
