Went for breakfast on the beach yesterday and then went to check out of our hostel.
Our taxi took us north to a place called Munduk. The journey itsself was an experience. Drove through towns, a festival, rice fields, lakes, up maintains, and seen loads of monkeys. The traffic is mad. Arrived at our hotel, Manah Liang Bungalow and was blown away by views. We are staying in a two story hut set in mountains. The views from our balconies are to die for, and our shower is outside with views for the mountains as well.
Wasn't so bad waking up to that on a Monday morning. Went for breakfast at the hotel and I had my first traditional Bali breakfast dish... Rice. I'm a changed woman!
For today we arranged a local tour guide to take us on a trek to some waterfalls. He was lovely, stopping at all the fruits on the way and telling us about them. We went to two different waterfalls, both were amazing. The second one was called Melanting Waterfall and we had the chance to take a little dip in the pools at the bottom. Very refreshing. We then had the MASSIVE hike back to the hotel. Words can no describe how much we sweated.
Then we had a taxi come and pick us up to go to our next stop, Lovina.
On the way he stopped at Banjar Hot Springs, we had an hour or two there and then went to our first Buddhist Monastery, Vihara.
Was a busy but great day sightseeing. Ready for a day by the pool I think now.
