This blog will be slightly out of date but anyway...

It was my birthday last Sunday and we spent three fantastic days out at sea, sailing the Whitsunday Islands. It was amazing! We took an eco tour on an old handcrafted boat and learnt about the local bush craft, did some hands-on sailing, and went snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef to see lots of colourful fish. Definitely THE way to spend your birthday, and I would love to come back again next year and do it all again!

We saw a stingray close up swimming along the shoreline on Whitehaven Beach, and one member of our group saw a reef shark while snorkelling. Eeek! I have some underwater photos on another camera so won't be able to get them up on here sadly.

We met some great people on the boat and went out for some drinks on the last night back on dry land. Thats after we had to recruit some Indiana Jones lookalike Aussie to jumplead our van as it was completely flat when we returned to the car park!
