Day 17 + 18 --- Monday and Tuesday 16-17 /02/09

Both of these days we spent at the centre. On Tuesday we did a long day (9.30 - 7.30), but you can sleep between 1.30 and 4 so it doesn't seem that bad! In the afternoon the older children arrived for after school classes in English, Malayalam, and Hindi. We played outside with the children until their lessons started. Their english is very good and it is so easy to communicate with them.
Sister Mercy said to us that when we are around the children try to speak more English than they would normally in their classes, which was really nice to hear.

Day 19 + 20 --Wednesday and Thursday 18-19 /02/09

Unfortunately the last 2 days have not been so good for me. I have been ill due to prawns i ate at Babu's house (i have now decieded to become a veggie for the rest of my trip, i have learnt from my mistake!) I have been unable to go to the centre so i have just spent my time sitting around feeling sorry for myself which is pretty boring.
On the plus side i have had the time to finsih my second book - Shantaram, which i throughly enjoyed. I feel a lot better today than i did yesterday so hopefully i will be able to go to the centre tomorrow.

Tara and i are planning to go to Kovalam (another beach resort) this weekend. So i am just keeping my fingers crossed that i will be better by then.
