So another trip to the Forbidden City and it was totally packed as it was a national holiday for tomb sweeping yesterday. Thats the same as us guys going to graves and putting flowers on them so I am led to believe. The City has defo been painted since I went there last time. Today led me up to the Great Wall at Mutianyu...we did try to go to another part but it was closed due to restoration as parts of the wall were falling down. The part that I climbed was very very steep and was the only person out of my group to go on to the steepest point which is a little sad really but everyone else appears to be scared of heights any need at all. Well pooped in to the Lama Temple today and got told of for taking a photo of Buddha so had to delete that pic....any need, this buddha was like 38ft tall and made out of one large piece of sandalwood apparently. It was very peaceful there and I had a lovely sit with the monks who appear to be very trendy in china with nike's and nokia's. Very pleasant people though and so gentle.
