After a 9 hour drive from San Fran we arrived in San Diego the first night very late. We checked into a hostel which was much more standard than the motel rooms we had been getting used to but we did however miss the randomness of hostels and all the people you meet. That night we were staright off to bed but woke the next day to have a wonder around the town. Got very excited to hear that there was a surfing competition going on the follwing day and the beach was very nice too. We somehow mangaed to end up in a shopping mall getting free make overs by MAC make up artists. It was great to get pampered but of course I ended up getting suckered into buying stuff! It was fun though. That night we were gonna grab a couple bottles of wine and have a quiet girly night but 6 bottles later and from the photos (soon to be put on) you will see how the night ended. It was very fun though and we met a lot of people, most of whom I couldn't remember there names the next morning. Apparently I was on the phone to Adam at one point by the front door and only letting people in if they said 'I have the power' to Adam down the phone! Can't really remember this though but apparently everyone obliged. Songs were sang and it ended with me and Hannah in a couple of mexican masks (we looked a little more like power rangers I think though- you can judge for yourself) dancing down the halls. Anyway the nighht was fun. The next day we had to drag ourselves out of bed as we were checking out and heading to Las Vegas. The thought of driving for 6 hours through a dessert with a hangover dreaded me and Vicky who had the worst hang overs ever!! We went and watched the Surfing competition even though I didn't really understand most of the rules but it was great to watch while sunbathing. Then we headed for Las Vegas.
