Sam the all star Trecker
We arrived in OC and managed to find one of the hotels for which we had another discount coupon. Yet again the hotel was very nice and had everything we needed. The next day we awoke very early and took the small walk to the simba shuttle which took us into Disney Land. It was soo exciting and me and the girls were like 10 year olds again. We did soo much in the day and didn't get back until 11 at night so you can imagine how tired we were by the end of the day but the adrenalin kept us going. Getting my photo taken with Minnie Mouse was very exciting and brought back loads of memories from childhood (she was my idol). We got our picture taken with so many characters it was great! Cruela was quite scary though! We went on most of the rides but the scariest were in the world opposite Disney called California Adventure so we spent a lot of time there. I am sure I am geeting more scared as the years progress and we went on a very groovy roller coaster called California Screamin. I sat next to a 7 year old who had done it 5 times apparently and was very cocky but it didn't stop me from having to scream the whole way around! The scariest of all though was the Hollywood hotel of terror which was a ride you could see practically from the whole of OC. It was that high! They loaded you into this elevator and strapped you in. Then it all went dark and you couldn't see a thing. Your stomache just felt like it was in your mouth as you could tell this elevator was going up and then dropping down. However when you were really dissorientated and thought it had finished suddenly the doors opened and you looked out over the whole park (we were literally in the clouds) and then it just dropped you. Oh my god it was the scariest ride ever!! My fave however was the nice leisurely Star Wars adventure with all the talking robots and tiny world which Vicky hated with a passion, the repetitive song that goes staright through you doesn't really help though. Okay so that was the rides. The floats were great to watch too and the dancers were just amazing. In the evening just when we thought the fun was going to be over there was the best Fireworks display I have ever seen. There I was armed with a corn dog and suddenly a real life tinkerbell lit up was flying through the air (obviously helped by some wire of sorts but shhhh). Honestly I can't explain it, it was fab and the display over the princess' castle was so amazing it made me cry. Okay I know I am stupid but it was the best place ever. I want to live there! The following day with legs like jelly we headed back to LA.
