Our trip to Santa Barbara was ace. We went along the pacific highway and drove past places like Malibu and saw some great beaches and surf. We arrived quite late at night and had a bit of a tif with the guy at reception about trying to get us to pay extra tax. Honestly people add tax on just for the sake of it out here. Anyway a little bit stressed we headed into the town. Everything was very posh even the super market. Me and the girls decided to go on a special K diet bacause 1 it was cheap and 2 we could do with loosing some weight! So we armed ourselves with about 6 boxes of cereal and loads of fruit for our vouyage up to San Francisco. Everyone thought we were hilarious. Then we decided to go to a bar and have a few drinks. The bar was ace proper American style with the round bar, nuts on the floor and the baseball and basketball games playing. That night I think I entertained everyone in my dorm by insisting on showing them, when drunk, how to jump onto the top bunk in one move. Ended up seriously pulling something in my arm so won't be doing that again!! The next day we headed to Santa Cruz.
