Hello again,

...and now the end is near! Just one more day remaining in the South Island of New Zealand...

Well, what have we been up to here? This has been more of a relaxing time than previous weeks, hence the lack of updates! We started by treating ourselves to a hotel, rather then hostel, in Christchurch- Hotel SO! This compact hotel had mood lighting and a wake up light to simulate day break. Baz loved the technology - Sally, not quite as interested! Hmmmm...

We visited Mt Cook, which was in the middle of no where and with not a great deal to do apart from admire the amazing views. It's more of a ramblers place and after coast-to-coast last year, we thought we'd give it a miss.

On to Queenstown, becoming our favourite place of the South Island, had good beer, good views and amazing burgers... FERG BURGER - Great tip Jules! After being defeated by the BIG AL burger, we had to wait a day before having the two for one Pizza at Harry's Pool bar... loverly... but we'd over eaten to the max and had to go to bed early... in pain! We decided to end our time in Queenstown with a relaxing hot tub under the stars admiring the beautiful mountains... instead of another big meal!!

We took time out to visit Milford Sound, another place for ramblers it would appear and biting insects (sand flies!), to view this part of the fiordlands... The picture with this entry is from there - not one of ours unfortunately!

Anyway, finally on to Franz Josef to go glacier walking - this was fantastic... just look at the photos!

This will probably be our last update before jetting off to Japan... Sony Building here we come!

In a weeks time, we'll be back in the UK and back at work... boooooo... although it'll be nice to catch up with everyone and wind down for Christmas...
