Well it's day 3 and we are almost ready to get our next flight to Austraila! Having arrived delayed we did what we do best and had a kip.
We heading down to the night time harbour light wonder...and in the words of Skeg, we wondered when it was going to start. A laser on top of a building does not make a light show . However, Baz and his engineering brain quite enjoyed it.
We headed for some local cuisine and only when seated did I wish that I has took Baz's mum up on the offer of practice chopsticks. I'm not sure stabbing the food is the best method, but the locals and us found it entertaining. However, why does all the food have to have prawns in? Although it was funny to watch Baz shove a mouthful (deep throat as Marie would say) in and realise it was full of prawns only to have to swallow it because the waitress arrived.
We planned to head to the Temple street night market, but first decided that any trip would not be complete without a beer in an Irish pub. Only to find it full of Aussies. We do now have free accommodation in Sydney should we choose to take it...oh and anyone who has ever drank with an Aussie will know-we never made it to the market.
Yesterday we headed fot the giant Buddha and peak. having grown up in a bungalow I now realise why both should not be attemped in the same day.
Clumsy sally made a few guest appearances, twice in a few minutes, tripping up seamingly normal pavements... then spilling half a pint of strongbow on me!
Anyways, take care for now and we will try to update in a week or so
