Morning all,
First of all, I wish to say...Paul Robinson aka Stefan Denis was by far the highlight of the trip so far (better than the proposal!), but I was way to excited at the last blog entry to talk about it. Not only does he remember Danny Ramsey, he also did the gonna make you feel good routine for me-love it!
Secondly, Paula I am really sorry, it was not my idea and your son is very stubbon but thankfully alive (depending on your point of view :-) )...yes you guessed it- he did a 12000 feet skydive today. Unfortunately I couldn't join him because, he gave me his head cold a few days ago so I wasn't allowed to jump as my ears wouldn't cope boo!!!!
After arriving in Auckland we did what we do best and did a walking tour of the city, before ending up in the skytower (tallest building in the southern hemisphere) for some great views of the city-picture above demonstrates it.
We got up early next day to walk around the top of a volcano-unfortunately Baz got a little confused with the ferry times and we were half an hour too late. Unsetered by this we headed down south to the Watimo caves, where we scrambled through caves on a blow up rubber ring to observe the glow worms-awesome but freezing.
A quick overnighter in Hamilton (no sign of Lunny for those who work at LRI) before visiting Wai-o-tapu thermal caves. A bizarre collection bubbling pools of sulphar- and the smell has put me off egg sandwiches for life!
Therfore today has involved the Huka falls and lake Taupo before watching Baz fall out of a plane. Phew we are looking forward to a lazy evening in the art deco backpackers we are staying in, which is beautiful.
See you soon, only two weeks left and we can't wait for a relaxing crimbo and cheese on toast!
Thanks for all the messages and tv updates, hope you like the new pics
