uncle roy's funeral today.taxi rubbish.picked me up,then mal and then grandma at wollaton vale then asked how to get to wilford hills for the funeral.as all 3 of us have only been passengers and never take notice all we knew was that it was near the nottm. knight he asked on his radio and was told to get on the A52 and it was signposted.he asked if i had the postcode for wilford hills-why would i have that ? so he put wilford in his tom tom and off we went...to wilford village-wrong!i again said it's near nottm. knight .so off we went and ended up at crusader island...wrong! he then went in a newsagents to ask we drove then he stopped and asked a woman....you know a man's desperate when he pulls over to ask directions and from a WOMAN.anyway, wegot there at about 11.15 -the funeral was to start at 11.30.my cousin billy said his wife had gone in -we laughed thinking she was sitting in the wrong funeral.this bloke then came out and told us that it had begun at 11.20.everybody was singing .oops,uncle eric had given out the wrong info.after the service and the bit round the grave [he was buried ]we were told the wake was at the queen adelaide ,eric had told me it was the queen vic [watches too much eastenders ].the taxi home we booked from the pub.the driver wore a turban and had a long beard[osama bin-liner ].we all thought there was no way we were going to explain our route home and all the drop-offs to him.but he was brilliant -not one wrong turn.just goes to show appearances can be deceiving. bytheway,love your latest pics.most of the snow has gone.marie coming up for the weekend.look after yourselvesxxx
