Today we completed the Orange route of our bus ticket. It toured through the fancy part of Paris..Saint-German. Lovely to see. Very leafy and the autumn colours were starting to come through. Today we purchased a 2 day ticket on The Open Tour bus company. We completed the main route today, which was the Green route. This included most of the main sites. It had recorded commentary. I prefer life commentary, but you rarely  see it in big towns anymore - at least this way you can always hear it!! We passed all of the main sites - l'academie de musique (where the story of the Phantom was based) Le Louvre, Notre Dame, Place de la Concord, Arc de Trio...

Today we took the train from Amsterdam to Paris. A very easy trip. A taxi picked us up from La Festa and we settled into our 1st class seats after only a little confusion about where to catch the train. Today we toured the City of Bruges. What better way than though the canals. So many bridges and churches. Stan, as usual found lots of wild life and trinkets. Of course the highlight was an awesome lunch with some great beers while watching the canal life pass by. Very sad to leave Sankt Goar. What a wonderful place to base ourselves in for 5 amazing days!!!On to the next adventure.... Leaving Germany we travelled into Belgium and Bruges. The motorway was easy navigation....says I...Dave did the driving. However, getting around Brussels was an experience. More cars than I've ever seen in my life, all having a give way rule that we didn't know about!!!Once in Bruges the GPS couldn't cope...skinny one way roads...
