Had a very relaxing morning in the pool. Thought we had better venture out. Didn't last long...soon back to the comforts of this amazing hotel.Tired out from our amazing holiday

Yesterday was lost in a blur of aeroplanes and the Dubai Airport. Finally we can relax in a beautiful hotel.

Our second day in began at a leisurely pace. The lovely Radisson Blu breakfast followed by watching the Geelong verses Hawthorn match. The best $40 we spent…the international AFL streaming option. It allows us to be on holidays and still watch the football…..as long as we have wifi.Our guide to the desert, Shisas, picked us up at 3:30 in his Land Cruiser. We picked up an Italian couple on their honeymoon and headed out to the Dubai Conservation Park....

Our first day in Dubai didn't seem too hot as we set off to the local souks. After half an hour we were searching for the shade, 2 hours later and we wondered if we would made it back to the hotel without being fried alive. We had a wonderful time in Deira in the Gold Souk until the salesmen got too much. Stan got wrapped in a headdress and they tried to put him in a white traditional dress. We've all seen pictures of Hong Kong's skyline. But the picture can only ever show a portion. There are sooooooo many sky scrapers. The never build one of a building plan. They build at least 3 - to make a set. The size of the docks and the number of ships waiting in the habour is also belong belief.As with most of the places we visited, nearly everyone was multilingual. The people are so helpful and polite - except the hawkers who are particularly insist...
