As we have 3 nights at our stop in Albuquerque we have decided to go a bit off piste from Route 66.
Bonus points to anyone who can figure out what we're going to do tomorrow.
We decided as we were in America and we may not get the chance to do this again, that we would drive about 400 miles north of Albuquerque into Colorado. The drive took us about 5 hours but we saw some absolutely beautiful scenery on the way. We are now checked into a little motel ready for an adventure tomorrow morning and then a drive back to Albuquerque for another night.
We've just had the most amazing Italian for tea. So. Much. Cheese! The beer they had on tap was made by the Bristol Brewing Company so naturally I had to have a pint.
This may seem a little over the top but it may well be a once in a lifetime chance for us and as petrol heads it definitely needs doing.
