RolPol
Breakky time…today Pol has a surprise for Ros… a café she found… Ros was overjoyed with her surprise and could not stop petting cats all the time we were there! This dude is huge…and he wants cake!! The waitress plays with the cats here…some do tricks! As soon as our tea and cake came…this guy jumped up to join us! …he wanted to add to the blog! …most of the cats were not fussed about any of the customers and were busy being lazy except when the waitress came with treats! The kitty café did not have food so…Pol was really hungry at this stage… It’s so easy to find bike parking in big cities here – on the footpath – generally out of the way but anywhere is ok! (Our bike parked opposite - while we ate..it's been such a good bike!) Ros’s burger went more on her face than in her mouth!! …and we’re off! We were sitting at these lights for at least 3 light changes…so we had time to do some selfies! Traffic was worse than peak hour in Perth…except in this case the drivers were courteous to us and our panniers! …and we could utilise the bicycle lane!!!! …fuel stop!! ..all the petrol stations have proper cafes...this one...more decorated than most!! …so many trucks here...we are getting used to cross winds overtaking them every 30 seconds!!! Such an easy border crossing compared to Hungary – no checks…straight through!! …we are prepared this time…we bought a motorway pass!!! …this is the city of wind turbines!!!!!!!!! …and vineyards ...there was a lot of yellow decorating… …we think most paint shops would be sold out of yellow paint!! ..and we encounter some roadworks…not to worry… …there are decent detour signs and we are back on track within minutes! …the bikers recognition wave… …a lot of towns ending with ‘dorf’!!!! Railway crossings here are more civilised than in Serbia! …late….lunch time…time to sit down and regroup – find accommodation Accommodation located! Little nap and we’re off into town… The hotel reception dude was really nice and gave us a good run down of where to go in town so we headed off to a restaurant he recommended… The schnitzel is bigger than Pol’s head!!! Ros ordered traditional while pol ordered salad…again…but always asks Ros for a taste of her dish!! Had to finish the evening off with an apple strudel! (Pol asked for a piece or two)
