Day 9
Staying in a lovely guest house, with a nice courtyard, which we're very happy about. Went on a city tour, with yt another man called Raj who was very enthusiastic. He took us to the Amber Fort where we had our Elephant ride up to the Fort Gates. We didn't enjoy the ride too much because the driver kept hitting the Elephant on the head with an iron stick. We didn't give much of a tip because of this, it didn't go down too well.
We then went to a Textile wholesale factory, where we saw how they made bedspreads, wall hangings and table cloths by block printing and needle work. We were then taken up to the shop above, where we saw thousands of beautiful textiles. This was our weakness and our supposedly cheap day turned into an expensive one. Mum and Dad Finch it is currently winging it's way to you as we speak and should be with you before you head off to India.
Day 10
Spent most of the day walking around town, went to the post office to send off our textiles, which was much easier than we thought. I bought a bag and the zip broke immediately - pikey bazaars. We spent the evening in the courtyard of our guest house waiting for the train and playing cards. I am the king of Jaipur when it comes to Rummy, although I only played Emma!
