Sadly your stay in the desert kingdom was cut short and we say a fond farewell to Trudy.

But a little reminder that it was not all HR, visa and phone anguish. You were a great person to have around and able to get along with just about everyone. W3 the exception, but really, there are some needles you can never find in that haystack.

So a bit of a Trudy dedication blog entry.

Always one to give things a try from day one. Shopping in Al Issa Souk for groceries...and finding them. That is pretty daring for one day off the plane fuelled only by strawberry flavour cafe latte.

And do you remember 4 in a bed, how many rules did we break that night?

You could groove with the best of them at Jasmines and were able to put up with the antics of Sid and Rose without totally loosing it. Though your vocal fore at 2am with John was a little more "Rock Legend" than aria winning.

Your ability to turn a shopping trip into an adventure. Remember the follow:

* Riding in the front of a taxi

*Smuggling taxi drivers clothes into your own shopping

*Smuggling Abdullah & Fatemah home

*Checking for dints and hubcaps before even negotiating a price

*Beating up small brats in elevators

*Knowing intimately every iphone sales person on the eastern seaboard of Saudi Arabia

*A quiet water behind the ATM in the middle of Khobar in the middle of Ramadan

The list could go on forever. Supermodel poses in Dhahran, sleeping on the floor of Rashid, and prayer dashing to Appleby's at Jarir Plaza.

Thank you so very much for being here and being one of the 7 dwarfs from Australia. Danny, Johnny, Penny, Kellie, Maggie, Trudy and Roddy (I must be Dopey as I am still here).
