Just a quick entry to fill everyone in on the state of affairs in Canberra.
Babies: John Alexander Sharkey IV was born on May 3rd at 11am after a 14 hour labour. Yasmin and John are over the moon and baby is really cute. See photo album. Congrats to you both.
Houses: Rhian and Chantelle have windows, sadly no walls yet but at least the windows were in before the storm. Had a great drinks afternoon around there a few evening ago.
Work: Calvary in their wisdom have cancelled all casual shifts. They figure what are nurse required for. So I am technically unemployed again and looking for further work somewhere else. This adds to the visa head ache.
Visa: Pippa is moving to London where the work opportunities are better so hopefully the visa application will be put in soon.
Return to England: I still hope to celebrate my birthday in UK. I am even going to look into a working visa to get back there sooner.
Well that about sums up life here. I am frustrated with being stuck in Australia. Why is it so hard for governments to come to terms with the fact that by allowing people to travel out of their countries? They run the risk that these people may interact with people from overseas and go as far as falling in love and marrying. The sooner governments put up very large walls, close airports and shipping terminals and ban all international trade and commerce the better. Then we won't meet foreigners, won't interact and won't need to organise visas to live in other countries. Foreign office personnel are the least able to cope with the difficulties of foreign exchanges. There are too many mouth breathers of the 'R' selected type and those that don't get jobs in immigration departments seem to find work in Calvary hospital administration.

Trudy Rod, You need to take a chill pill my love........ Have a very big glass of red wine..... I am, it fixes everything. It will all work out in the end. xx
Tina Hey Rod, great to hear from you, it will all work out in the end, and I truely believe what is meant to be will be. The old cliche, but I really believe it, that sometimes you have to wait for what you truely want, look at me and AJ, took a while, but it finally happened. Hang in there, cheers. xxx ps Hi Pip, good luck in London!!!
