Got about 2 hours sleep on the 8 hour flight from Cape Town.
Tried the fish this time - not a big fan!
Arrived BA at 1pm.
Only Australians, US & Canadian citizens need to pay for a visitor visa of US$100! Immigration ok and bags arrived - always a miracle I think. Actually paying for a visa helped us get ahead of the locals and other visitors who can get in free. Customs a walk through and the driver was waiting for us.
EZE airport seems a combination of modern and old.
Quick drive into BA city and to the Wilton Palace Hotel. Looks like about 3 1/2 stars.
Ankles swollen. Now 3pm and time for some horizontal rest.
Well we slept for 6 hours only then to be woken by the room phone ringing. The tour company for tomorrows 1/2 day tour - pick up 9.15am. Good we have a morning tour.
We decided to walk the streets - and not get lost. 10pm and the locals are out for dinner and walking the streets; quite safe. We bought a gelato ice cream and walked until one of the main thoroughfares - Av. 9 De Julio - the widest in the world! Think Champs Eleses in Paris but twice as wide. Fun to cross! Starting to rain with thunder and lightening.
Now midnight Sunday/Monday morning. Must try and sleep
