Back on to the B747 for the 8 hour flight to Buenos Aires. Another full flight. The flight attendant told me that our flight is the last ever by Malaysia Airlines. She told me a political decision despite the flight being full. Apparently Thai Airways wanted the route but Emirates have now got the right to it. So a special flight for Malaysian and us too!
You can see from this blog' photo that Joanne is right into holiday mode resting weary legs while waiting for the BA flight to be called for boarding.
Departed about 30 minutes late - not as dramatic a take off thank goodness. Actually appeared normal. I must investigate some more about aircraft weights, take off speeds etc; think it's called V1 and V2.
Another meal - I guess lunch even though by the clock it's really breakfast. I chose the fish and rice - nothing special. Joanne the chicken and rice. Also included cheese cake, juice, bread rolls and wine. Must get into the Latin American way of food and drink.
A nice Argentinian man sitting next to Joanne helped us with ideas of things to do for our time in BA.
The on screen nav computer has us out over the Atlantic Ocean 6 hours 53 mins to go, 3451 miles to go and 977 miles already travelled since CPT.
Time for a rest.
Next blog from Buenos Aires.
