Well if the picture is anything to go by, yes this has gotten interesting or rather not at all. Today is definitely a bit more of a down day as it was the day we were meant to fly to Darwin. Don't get me wrong, I regularly remind myself that we are really the lucky ones- still have at least 1 paycheque coming in, still healthy, food on the table- yes we are lucky. Some pics of us around the area. Rapid Bay, Blowhole beach, river Murray (yes that how it's said) meets the ocean and Horseshoe Bay, plus our own backyard. There are lots of spots for us to explore in which we can still meet those social distancing needs! That's what will be on the program for the next few weeks....stay tuned.

So I need to address this for posterity sake, although not totally sure where to begin. This is a year that no one is going to forget. We've watched in awe as what seemed to be an "other" problem, one unlikely to impact us to wham! It is here with a vengeance. It seemed Canada reacted much more quickly than here in Australia with school closures, stores closing, borders closing and the insanity just seems to continue. Woohoo long weekend! Boo, school starts Tuesday. Since I was finally able to get all my paperwork sorted, it now means I am employed! I will be working as an SSO (similar to EA) helping students with diabetes 3days a week, although it sounds as though more hours are possible. Rob and I both went in the couple days before the weekend for meetings and such, also I needed to bring Lucas in to register for school much to his dismay. He will now be a PEPS student at P...

We've made it through week 1, found our way to Woolys and Coles (groceries), got a bank account, Rob of course got a bike which means I have driven- more than once even, although admittedly I may have found myself on the wrong side of the road once- oops. Lucas has a bicycle and has had 2 surf lessons and has done rather well- I can attest it's a lot harder than it looks! The house is great, lots of rooms for visitors, Luke currently has his own wing of the house...
