Hooray for long weekends and being able to get away! Left after school on Friday and made it to Kingston, SA, home of the big lobster. Goal was to make it about half way to Mt Gambier and we did. Next morning drove through a couple pretty seaside towns, Robe and Beachport, even ran into some friends in Robe (hello Mitchells), stopped at the Tantanoola caves along the way. Great little spot! We had a great weekend, things are starting to open up again, it's back to school this week and crossing our fingers this covid19 is staying away. Saturday meant haircuts for the boys, a little shopping and dinner out in Christie's beach to watch the sunset. Yummy Thai food! Mothers day began with some brekkie in bed and a hike near the Waitpinga (why-ping-ga) cliffs. All in all a good time for all ❤

Certainly wasn't the Easter break we planned but we attempted to make the most of it. A bunch of hikes, some building, some spa time (kinda),. It's been good that we can still get out a little and the weather is still warm. Numbers of covid19 cases are slowing here a lot, so we may be able to do some travelling our next break, but sadly Kelly, Jamie, Jack and Sophie won't be coming in July. Well if the picture is anything to go by, yes this has gotten interesting or rather not at all. Today is definitely a bit more of a down day as it was the day we were meant to fly to Darwin. Don't get me wrong, I regularly remind myself that we are really the lucky ones- still have at least 1 paycheque coming in, still healthy, food on the table- yes we are lucky. But there are certainly times where this all just seems to be a bit much. We're here to teach, but ...
