Drove the scenic Indian Ocean drive from Perth to Kalbarri. Parts were beautiful with ocean views other parts felt like we were in no mans land. Arrived to 38 degrees and a beautiful sea side apartment (Kalbarri seafront villas). Explored a little grabbed some dinner and groceries and chilled. Next morning brought us out to the National Park bright and early, much to Lucas chagrin. Caught the sunrise as we drove to the z-loop trail and then on to Nature's window....

So made it to Perth without any drama or so we thought. Last leg of the flight was long, some very tired people but made it out of the airport with all that luggage and into a cab in no time! Next morning brought the realization that Lucas had left his phone on the plane...ggrrr. Called the airline etc. Etc., thus far no luck. Today is the day! Whatever hasn't been done isn't going to get done, I feel like all I've done is pack and clean for a week, throw Christmas into that mix and you've got one hectic week. Pete and Leanne and co. arrived on 27th, all seems well, even if there was no snow to welcome them. We've got 15 hours to Hong Kong ahead of us, plus some time- 9whole hours- at the airport before the final 7hour stretch to Perth! cheers Canada

Well we are 10 days till departure, although 9 till we head to the airport but Lucas insists on correcting me that we don’t leave until the 29th. Oh it’s going to be a lonngg flight!! As my house is a disaster and the last day of school is upon us, I choose to spend my time pondering. It's nearly time- all our ducks are lined up -visas✅, LOA ✅, flights ✅ now we wait and well I suppose pack and clean! Destination Encounter Bay, South Australia! All exchanges have their hiccups but hopefully we get through without any major problems. Looking forward to leaving the snow behind and heading to sunshine and beaches!!
